Under Watchful Wings

This commission holds a very special place in my heart because I created it for a dear friend. It’s not just a painting — it’s a reflection of her strength, her journey, and the truth that she is never alone.

The ravens in the scene are drawn from Matthew 6:26, “Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”

Even in seasons of worry or uncertainty, this verse reminds us of our Creator’s care and presence — that we are deeply valued, protected, and never forgotten.

I titled this piece Haven – Under Watchful Wings because it captures that sacred feeling of being sheltered and surrounded by love and peace, a safe refuge for the soul.

Creating commissions like this, where art carries meaning as well as beauty — is one of the greatest honors of my work. 🖤
